Spring

Spring has arrived in Hohhot. The weather is now hot and the spring flowers lasted about a week.  May Day was a major vacation day and many shops had huge sales.  I found that “a foreigner” attracts a lot of shoppers, so I now have a backup plan in case the teaching doesn’t pan out.  I love the many outdoor BBQ places that have setup shop as well as the many outdoor pool halls.
